The Livermore Valley Camera Club (LVCC) was established in 1958 as a place for beginners and experienced photographers alike to come and share the joys of photography; with the goal to promote excellence in photography. The emphasis in the club is camaraderie, enjoying other people's work, sharing stories and techniques. If you have always enjoyed taking pictures or admired other's photographs, the camera club is a great place to share your work, meet others who enjoy photography and expand your knowledge and experience in the wonderful world of photography.

The club is based primarily on the guidelines set up by the Northern California Council of Camera Clubs (N4C) of which Livermore is a member. N4C is a federation of fourteen camera clubs located in the Greater Bay Area. Meetings focus on monthly competitions critiqued by outside judges where members compete against other members of like abilities. The judges provide helpful hints and offer suggestions on how to make an image stronger. Our club has an equal balance of those who enjoy competition, as a means of improving their photographic skills; and those that participate to enjoy learning and interacting with other photographers. The club sponsors an annual beginner photography class through the Livermore Parks and Recreation department and also conducts a number of photo field trips during the year.

Please join us! Guests are always welcome.
And when you do show up for that first meeting, don't be shy.... introduce yourself, ask questions and by all means, bring in some of your work. We'll be glad to have you.

When

First and Third Monday of the Month
7:30pm

The Livermore Valley Camera Club meets twice a month, on the first and third Monday (excluding holidays); and except for December when there are no scheduled meetings. The meetings start promptly at 7:30pm, and members are asked to arrive by 7:15pm to allow time to enter and organize the images for the nightly competition. This is also a great time to converse with fellow members - guests are always welcome and encouraged to participate. Refreshments are usually available during the break between print and projected-image competition. Meetings typically last about two to three hours.

Fifth Monday of the Month
7:30pm

On any month with five Mondays, we have a non-competitive Program Nights. These are workshops on photography related topics such as matting prints and using Photoshop. Please check with the schedule for specific dates and subject matter.
